The GPS lap timer PURELAP Nothing but the lap.
This page is a lap. Start scrolling, the clock is running.
What it looks like, we're not showing yet. What it can do, we are.
The line beneath you isn't a graphic. It's our fastest lap of the Nordschleife, driven exactly like this, metre by metre: 20.6 kilometres, 293 metres of elevation change, 8,126 positions, recorded by a PURELAP prototype. The clock runs on this lap's real time. The road and terrain below are the real Eifel.
Drive. The rest happens by itself.
No menus on track day. PURELAP recognises the circuit, rules out the layouts you aren't driving as you go, and locks onto the right line. Until it's sure, it times anyway. No lap gets lost.
- 20×
per second
20 positions per second from GPS and Galileo. Built in, with no external receiver.
- Δ
Live delta and prediction
Against your best lap of the day, the session or all time. You choose, it does the maths.
- 0
hands on the camera
DJI and Insta360 tested, GoPro supported: recording runs on track and stops in the pits. You don't touch them all day.
- 1 s
until your lap is safe
Every lap is stored within a second. Reboot or power cut mid-session? Your laps are still there.
- 2
drivers, one car, separate records
Best laps and reference laps per driver and car. The logbook remembers every day, every circuit, the tyres too.
Four rules it never breaks.
- It never refuses to time.
- The display tells you in words what it's waiting for, with a distance.
- Every automatic decision is shown and can be reversed.
- Nothing is hidden. Out laps are shown and excluded, never deleted.
123 circuits. It already knows them.
141 layouts with sectors and corner names, from Anderstorp to Zandvoort. New ones arrive by update. Your kart track is missing? Drive it once and set the line, directly on the device.
First the antenna. Then the housing.
Reception is everything. So the antenna was simulated electromagnetically: behind the windscreen, under the roof, at a true distance from the glass. The housing follows the result.
- 5 mm
of air around the antenna
One simulated detail among many. Less clearance costs about 2 dB.
- 0°
of readjusting
The viewing angle is already built into the mount. Onto the windscreen, done.
- 2
things in your field of view
Display and bezel. Everything else sits behind them.
- ☀
built for life behind the glass
Sun, heat, vibration: that's where it hangs all day, and that's what it's designed for.

- What it looks like
- Spring 2027
It reads along. Nothing more.
The plug fetches what your car knows: throttle, brake, steering angle, revs, gear, temperatures, boost, tyre pressures. Depending on the car, and as fast as it answers.
- Read
only
It asks, it never writes. Clearing faults, coding, changing settings: the firmware simply can't.
- Silent
when parked
When your car is parked, it stays quiet and goes to sleep. No alarm going off.
- 38
car makes
Vehicle profiles for 38 makes. New ones arrive by update, with nothing to do on your side.
- 1
system
The lap timer alone, or the lap timer with the plug. Together, your car's data flows straight into your lap.
Open the app. Connected.
No hotspot, no IP address, no account. The app finds the plug over Bluetooth and shows you your car.
- Live
on the whole screen
Your values in real time, portrait or landscape. The screen stays on.
- P0420
becomes a sentence
Read the fault memory in plain language instead of numbers. Nothing gets deleted.
- Auto
updates
The plug brings its own interface. New features arrive without the app store.
- Android
at launch
iOS to follow.
The debrief writes itself.
After every session there's a single file on the card. One scan and it's on your phone. No app, no account, no cloud.
- 1
sentence instead of eleven charts
Which corner, which phase, how many tenths. It tells you first what to work on.
- Line
by line
Your laps on top of each other, corner by corner, down to the metre.
- 1.29 g
in the friction circle
One day at Anneau du Rhin, 23,071 data points. On board, a 6-axis motion sensor measures the g-forces, joined by a barometer.

forever
One HTML file. Share it, archive it, open it again in ten years.
One button. Finished video.
Overlay puts your data into your action-cam video. It works out by itself which clip belongs to which lap: from the GPS trace, not the camera's clock.
- 1:1
like the original
Same resolution, same frame rate, same colours. Just with your lap in it.
- 2

Several cameras, several layouts. One finished file per lap.
